Bringing colour to life and canvas
Kelly Edwards is an abstract artist and the founder of Kelly Edwards Art Studio.
Originally from Bristol, Kelly has spent the best part of the last decade travelling the globe as a Superyacht Stewardess and Personal Assistant, before settling back to life in the UK. Although art took a backseat to her career for a long time, Kelly has always been naturally creative, choosing to express her passion for fun and all things brightly coloured through her personal style and event organising. Once rooted in London and inspired by the vibrancy of city life around her, she felt a burning desire to create again and turned her attention towards paint and canvas!
Kelly thrives on painting abstract with thick textured, bold acrylics. Communicating her passion for fun, adventure, art and storytelling, her work invokes feeling through the movement of colour and depth in her pieces. The thing she enjoys most about painting is hearing what her viewers see and feel in her creations, she believes that art should be a personal experience for the onlooker.
Since becoming a mother for the first time, at the start of the Covid pandemic, Kelly now spends her time between London and the Cotswold village of Bradford-on-Avon, near the city of Bath. Once an avid city dweller and disciple, she now enjoys the contrasting buzz of the big city against the calm and peace in country living. This provides much inspiration for Kelly's latest work.
